Katie Piper the extraordinary woman behind ‘Katie: My Beautiful Face’ and the Katie Piper Foundation is an inspiration to us all. She has rebuilt her life after suffering a brutal acid attack and now campaigns through her foundation to improve rehabilitation facilities for burns victims, while also providing a network of support and information on burns, scars and treatment.

When Karen Betts (Managing Director and head trainer for Nouveau Contour) heard about Katie’s story and the amazing work she was doing to help other victims of burns and facial disfigurement she immediately knew she wanted to be involved in some way.

Karen is renowned as one of the top permanent cosmetics artists and gives up a lot of her time and expertise to helping people coping with the after-effects of chemotherapy, as well as alopecia sufferers. When Katie met Karen and saw what she could do, from cosmetic permanent makeup on eyebrows and lips right through to medical tattooing to camouflage scars and disfigurements, she decided to have a lip blush procedure done there and then.
